H & Z’s wedding at the Como Zoo & Conservatory’s Ordway Japanese Gardens was an intimate, rain-kissed celebration that felt like a scene from a vintage film. Surrounded by lilly-pad topped ponds, stone paths, and lush greenery, they leaned fully into the weather with parasols overhead, soft kisses and laughter echoing through the mist. H wore a fitted black and maroon bedazzled gown, fur coat, a handmade purple and maroon bouquet (which the colors of the dye dripped from to her giddy delight) and carried a cherry blossom parasol—channeling old money mob-wife glam — while Z matched her energy in a maroon suit. With guests gathered close beneath umbrellas and trees, their vows felt cinematic and sacred. The day was documented with a mix of medium format and 35mm film, Polaroids, digital photography, digital video, and 3D film — preserving the texture, emotion, and beauty of a wedding that never needed sunshine to glow.
