On the coldest day of the year so far, with temperatures hovering around -5 and a windchill making it feel like a brisk -17, the Minneapolis Christkindl Market became the setting for the warmest kind of surprise: a heartfelt proposal surrounded by love. As the couple entered the market, the question was popped - met with joyful shock - while a crowd of their closest friends and the fiancée-to-be’s sister looked on, bundled up and beaming. Despite the bitter cold, the market vendors, their loved ones, and us (Storyteller Co) as documenters all came together to make the moment unforgettable, proving that not even Minnesota winter can compete with the kind of excitement a fresh proposal in fresh snow brings!! After the proposal was popped and a glowing YES said, champagne was poured for celebratory toasts (quickly transforming into champagne slushies), followed by a few cozy portraits beneath the twinkling market lights before everyone retreated to the warming tent for glühwein and laughter. The celebration continued with a group walk to Salt & Flour, where the newly engaged couple and their crew thawed out over a well-earned, joy-filled dinner with drinks.
