Nostalgic, art-house Minneapolis memory magic came alive at this unforgettable Party -of-a-wedding-meets-Michael-Jordan's-birthday-bash, where the day began with champagne-fueled glam sessions at Studio Q before heading to the personally DIY'd and personality-packed Silverwood Park for a ceremony and reception wedding celebration like no other. Officiated by fierce Drag Queen Sissy Tops and momentarily interrupted by a surprise appearance from a real WWE wrestler staging a mock objection (complete with choreographed drama), this wedding was anything but ordinary. The reception kicked off with a once-in-a-lifetime comeback show by the groom’s old band, setting the tone for a dance party that doubled as an epic tribute to none other than Michael Jordan’s birthday. Homemade and curated 90s nostalgia ruled the decor, with head-table cardboard cutouts of Trixie Mattel, Charles Barkley, and the couple’s beloved dog Koopa — whose tail-wagging fate brought the couple together. This wasn’t just a wedding, and it certainly wasn't your typical one — it was a celebration of love, legends, and the wild twist of fate that made it all possible.
